Invenergy Donates Lifesaving Mobile Firefighting Equipment to Bogata Volunteer Fire Department
In December 2023, Invenergy continued its investment in the Northeast Texas community with a $10,000 donation to the Bogata Volunteer Fire Department to aid in local rescue efforts. The Bogata Volunteer Fire Department services Red River County, which is where the Samson Solar Energy Center is located, by providing emergency medical and fire responses. The department will use the funds to procure a specialized utility task vehicle (UTV) with mobile firefighting equipment to navigate the city's terrain in order to better fight grass fires and help with search and rescue efforts. Additionally, the donation will support local emergency medical services (EMS) in the community.
“Support from companies like Invenergy have a huge impact on our department,” said Jerry Hutson, Bogata Fire Chief. “Volunteers play such an important role in our community, which is why we are always so grateful for donations like this that allow our first responders to continue their mission and keep our community safe.”
